An elegant hand-painted reticulated porcelain basket by the celebrated Hungarian porcelain manufacturer Herend, distinguished by its exceptional pierced latticework, richly gilded accents, and finely painted floral decoration. The circular basket features an intricate openwork body accented with hand-applied gilt highlights, while the center displays a beautifully executed bouquet of pink roses, purple tulips, blue blossoms, and delicate foliage rendered in Herend's celebrated hand-painted tradition. Twin sculptural loop handles with raised gilt beading frame the composition, while the exterior is further embellished with a geometric trellis pattern accented by hand-painted blue floral motifs and pink linework. Founded in 1826, Herend Porcelain Manufactory has long been regarded as one of Europe's premier porcelain producers, supplying aristocratic households and royal commissions throughout the nineteenth century. Every decorative element is individually hand-painted by master artisans, making each example subtly unique. Combining refined craftsmanship with practical function, this basket serves beautifully as a centerpiece, fruit basket, confectionery server, or cabinet display piece.
