PENNSYLVANIA FOLK ART FRATERNAL MODERN WOODMAN OF AMERICA NEVERSINK CAMP NO. 7634 READING, PENN. FIGURAL BALLOT BOX, figural wooden structure depicting an octagonal building with paneled roof, front has a hinged door with etched colorless pane, two sides with a colorless pane having a textured snowflake pattern, structure raised on a large square-form platform which is fitted with a drawer having a brass pull-knob and interior fitted with two compartments, interior is fitted with black and white ceramic marbles and a small boy doll having bisque head, hands, and feet; roof retains its original dark red and black painted surface and yellow lettering "M. W. A/ NEVERSINK CAMP NO. 7634 READING PENNA", roof is fitted with a central brass tube with shaped brass finial and extending through the structure to the pull-out drawer; structures sidewall's retain original brown, dark red/black, and green painted surfaces. Structure constructed from parts of a wooden Wrigley's Spearmint gum box. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 16 3/4" HOA, 10 1/2" x 11 1/8" overall.

  • Condition:

    Excellent overall condition, expected wear with minimal imperfections including light splits/separations and minor flakes/roughness to the paint. Possibly lacking some components. Marbles with expected minor wear, doll undamaged and attire with expected wear and scattered imperfections.
