  • Notes: Duncan Regehr was born in 1952 in Lethbridge, Alberta, and was raised in Victoria, British Columbia. His father, Peter Regehr, was an artist, specializing in paintings of wildlife and rural scenes. From the age of fourteen Duncan Regehr pursued an interest in acting, and studied at the Bastion Theatre School (Victoria) and hosted a teenager-oriented talk show on television. He soon gained recognition for his roles on stage and screens throughout North America, including starring roles in such series at The Blue and the Gray (1982) and Zorro (1990-1993). He has been equally devoted to painting, and studied with Dutch surrealist Henry Posit. Since the mid 1970s Regehr has exhibited throughout Canada and abroad, and in 2000 he was given the Royal Canadian Artist (RCA) appellation by the Royal Canadian Academy of Art, and in 2008 was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Fine Arts by the University of Victoria. Today his work can be found in many important collections including the Smithsonian Institute (Washington), Jilin Collection (China), Kunsthallen (Copenhagen), Getty Museum (Los Angeles) and the Syllavethy Collection (Aberdeenshire, Scotland).

Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting can provide purchasers with several options for packing and shipping throughout Canada, the US and internationally. All packing and shipping is done at the expense of the purchaser. If you are the successful bidder on one or more lots, you will receive an email directly from the auction house within 48 hours. Please then contact us to discuss your packing, shipping and pick-up preferences (and we can remove artworks from framing in order to ship without frame and glass). All artworks are located in Regina, Saskatchewan and are available for pick-up. Also, we are currently offering free delivery in Regina on invoices over $200, and occasional delivery trips are made to Saskatoon to hand-deliver to Saskatoon home addresses for a small fee when there is sufficient demand. We can pack and ship throughout Canada and internationally, or can deliver your artworks to a recognized international shipper for them to pack and ship via their direct communications with you. For US buyers, note that all Canadian and US artworks have been proceeding as tariff exempt under the terms of the Canada-US-Mexico Free Trade Agreement, but the situation can change. Artworks with a country of origin other than Canada, US or Mexico are more likely to have a tariff fee added by US Customs.
