A neoclassical-style cast bronze sculpture depicting the goddess Nike, or Victory, standing in a triga chariot. The central figure is dressed in a classical chiton and holds a laurel wreath in her raised right hand and a sword in her left. The chariot is drawn by three horses shown in dynamic, rearing poses, all mounted on a circular, textured, domed base. The sculpture features a dark patinated finish throughout. The piece is constructed from multiple individual castings that are secured to the base with threaded rods and square nuts visible on the hollow underside. This work is modeled after the designs of French sculptor Etienne-Henri Dumaige.
