This lot features an assortment of approximately eleven mid-20th-century American promotional items and scientific instruments, primarily representing businesses from the Midwest and Southern United States. The collection includes various advertising thermometers, tools, and technical measuring devices. Featured items include: - A Sonnenberg Mutual Insurance Ass'n wall thermometer made of painted metal with a red and white finish. Printed text includes "SONNENBERG MUTUAL INSURANCE ASS'N.", "Fire, Lightning, Windstorm, Hail and Extended Coverage", "Dalton - Ohio", and phone number "828-2242". The top of the piece states "Protection Since 1859". - A 1st Wisconsin Bank promotional thermometer in the shape of a key. Printed on cardboard, it features the text "SAVE at the 1st WISCONSIN Your Personal Service Bank" and is marked "No. 605". It includes a weather-predicting disc with instructions to watch the color change from blue to rosy pink. - A Ken�s Wholesale Lighting thermometer with a wooden base and a ship�s wheel top. It advertises "KEN'S WHOLESALE LIGHTING" at "1155 W 2nd St., Miami, Fla." and includes an "Official Weather Check" color-changing disc. - A Keim Blacksmith Shop wall thermometer featuring a circular white plastic frame surrounding a scenic lake landscape print. A small plaque is marked "KEIM BLACKSMITH SHOP, Ashland, O. 44805". - Two salesman sample vertical thermometers, one in red plastic and one in natural wood, both printed with "HERE IS HI-VALUE AD SPACE" and marked "Sample No. 601" and "Sample No. 601 C" respectively. - A Schrier Cheese Factory spirit level constructed of wood with remnants of red paint. Stenciled text reads: "SCHRIER CHEESE FACTORY", "PHONE 562-8946", "BUCYRUS, OHIO". The metal plate covering the bubble vial is present. - An Acu-Math No. 150 white plastic slide rule marked "MADE IN U.S.A.". This item is accompanied by its original tan-colored protective sleeve and a paper manual titled "INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING TRIG and LOG LOG SLIDE RULES" published by Acu-Rule Manufacturing, St. Louis, MO. - An E. Edelmann & Co. glass hydrometer float, marked "FLOAT No. 1090" and "MADE BY E. EDELMANN & CO". It is housed in its original cylindrical cardboard tube marked "PRECISIONEERED BY E. EDELMANN & CO., CHICAGO, ILL." - A Sears Kenmore accessory or part, contained within its original yellow and clear plastic retail display box. - A red plastic promotional tool with black text advertising "JOSEPH M. BULL, INC." and "THE ROBOT IMPERIAL CAR WASH". - A Tyrex Ephemera promotional card for "TYREX tire cord" referencing "TIME" magazine.

Atlee Raber Auctions will coordinate in house packing & shipping (at buyer's expense) with on all items we deem as suitable for shipping, as a courtesy service to our customers.

Shipping methods may include FedEx, UPS, USPS or whatever method is best. Atlee Raber Auctions cannot be responsible for loss or damage to the items during shipping.

Large items, such as furniture, large signs, neon, etc, will exclusively be FOR PICK-UP ONLY or for private courier delivery as selected by the winning bidder or recommended local agent from Atlee Raber Auctions.


The buyer is free to contact any shipping company they wish, as shipment is not limited to the agents provided by Atlee Raber Auctions.

In light of the current pandemic, ALL PICK-UPS will be scheduled with our office in advance to allow for all safety practices and precautions to occur.
