Antique American percussion half-stock rifle marked "Josh Golcher" on the lockplate. Features a heavy 36" octagonal barrel, double set triggers, brass trigger guard, brass buttplate and figured curly maple stock. The lockplate is engraved with a game bird scene behind the hammer.   • Condition: Metal surfaces exhibit age-related patina and scattered oxidation. The curly maple stock shows handling wear, dents and scratches consistent with age. Cracking is visible behind and around the lock mortise area. The forward ramrod pipe is detached from the stock. Brass furniture displays an aged patina. Mechanical action works.
