Including 20 images related to Abraham Lincoln. Images overall good, with occasional soiling, toning, and edge and corner wear. Includes the following highlights:

6 CDVs, including: Lincoln reading with his son Tad. Uncredited. -- Mary Todd Lincoln. Massachusetts: Wm. H. Mumler, 1865. -- Image after lithograph/engraving of Lincoln's home in Kentucky. Boston: Allen. -- 3 portraits of John Wilkes Booth. First, Hartford, CT: Webster & Popkins. 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso. Second and third cartes uncredited.

CDV album identified to Ninian W. Edwards, 6 x 5 in., front free end paper with period inscription, "March 20th, 1862, To Miss Isabella Graham, from her friend, Ninian W. Edwards." Contains 36 CDVs of men, women, and children, most notably Ninian W. Edwards, with period notation in unknown hand below, identifying the subject and stating, "Brother-in-law to Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States." Edwards (1809-1889) was a prominent Illinois politician, attorney, and the brother-in-law of Abraham Lincoln, having married Mary Todd Lincoln’s sister, Elizabeth Todd. Some subjects are identified on the album pages, with individuals from the White, Graham, Marshall, Newlin, and Anthony families represented.
Some surface wear to album extremities, some soiling to album pages, images overall good with toning and occasional soiling.

A shoulder-length portrait of Abraham Lincoln, copyrighted in the negative, "Copyright '91 by M.P. Rice." A ca late 19th-early 20th century printing of a photograph originally taken by Alexander Gardner on 8 November 1863, in Washington, D.C. [Ostendorf, O-77]. 3/8 x 7 3/8 in. print affixed to cardstock mount. The original negative was subsequently lost, or broken, and is almost without exception available only in later formats. Rice may have owned the original at one time and produced the image in both cabinet card and larger formats, often embellishing the print background or margins.

2 magic lantern slides, approx. 3 1/4 x 4 in., featuring Lincoln meeting with his generals at camp. First published by Albert D. Handy, Boston. Second published by NY State Education Department. -- 2 modern, 20th century ambrotypes depicting the execution of the Lincoln conspirators, including a 4 x 5 1/2 in. ambrotype and 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 in. ambrotype, each housed in paper sleeve with tag crediting the images to the Parsons Photographic Studio of Bowling Green, KY.
