An elegant pair of Watson Sterling weighted candlesticks, executed in a timeless traditional form with broad circular bases, baluster knops, and flared candle sockets. Crafted by the Watson Company, one of America's most respected silversmiths, these candlesticks exemplify the refined yet practical sterling hollowware produced during the mid-20th century. Each candlestick bears the impressed "Watson Sterling" hallmark together with "Weighted Reinforced" and pattern designation "5E," indicating sterling silver construction over a reinforced weighted core, a standard practice for quality American silver candlesticks. Their restrained profile makes them equally suitable for traditional, Colonial Revival, or contemporary interiors. Founded in Attleboro, Massachusetts in the late 19th century, the Watson Company earned a distinguished reputation for producing finely crafted sterling silver tablewares and decorative objects.
