Documented Denver, Colorado, Shipped Antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .32-20 W.C.F. with Factory Letter The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver as shipped on March 5, 1898, to The George Tritch Hardware Company in Denver, Colorado, in .32-20 caliber with a 4 3/4 inch barrel, blue finish, and hard rubber grips, as part of three guns of the same type in the shipment. The George Tritch Hardware Company operated between c. 1859-1930 and was a prominent Denver supplier. A .32-20 W.C.F. Single Action Army such as this one made for a proper sidearm out west for travelers, lawmen or cowboys. The easy shooting .32-20 W.C.F. cartridge offered good range and accuracy for the time and was a solid companion to the Winchester rifles of the same caliber. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped with the two-line Colt Hartford legend, and "32 W.C.F." is on the left. It has a blade front sight and frame notch rear sight, and two-piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt logo embossed in an oval at the tops. The matching full serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and butt, with matching "750" on the rear face of the cylinder, assembly number "667" on the loading gate, and non-matching number "4895" hand etched on the interiors of both factory grips along with the name "HBritan" on the interior of the right grip.
