An engaging and decorative collection of six vintage dolls representing a variety of international, ethnic, and collectible styles dating primarily to the mid-20th century. This charming assemblage includes handcrafted textile dolls, traditional Japanese costume dolls, and classic hard plastic examples, offering an appealing grouping for collectors, decorators, or doll enthusiasts. Highlights include a graceful Japanese kimono doll mounted on its original display base, dressed in richly patterned traditional garments and carrying a miniature bucket accessory. Also included are two handcrafted Native American-inspired cloth dolls adorned with colorful beadwork, velvet garments, and traditional-style accessories, displaying fine handwork and folk-art character. The collection is complemented by a blonde vinyl fashion doll in period dress with floral hat, a small hard plastic walker-type doll displayed on a stand, and additional vintage examples representing several styles of doll manufacture popular throughout the twentieth century. Sold together as a single collection, this diverse grouping offers excellent decorative appeal and presents an opportunity for collectors seeking an assortment of vintage dolls spanning multiple traditions and manufacturing styles. Collection includes: • Japanese kimono display doll on wooden base • Pair of handcrafted Native American-inspired cloth dolls • Blonde vinyl collector doll in period costume (Madame Alexander style) • Small hard plastic walker doll on display stand • One additional vintage doll Largest dolls approximately 14–15 inches in height.

  • Literature: International costume dolls and handcrafted ethnic dolls became increasingly popular throughout the mid-twentieth century as souvenirs, educational collectibles, and decorative objects. Japanese kimono dolls were widely exported following World War II, while handcrafted Native American-inspired dolls reflect the continuing tradition of textile folk art. Mid-century vinyl and hard plastic dolls from American and European makers remain popular among collectors for their nostalgic appeal and period costume design.
  • Circa: Mid-20th century, approximately 1940s–1970s.
  • Condition: Overall good vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. Varying degrees of surface wear, light soiling, loose or flyaway hair, minor fabric wear, fading, and handling marks. The blonde doll exhibits noticeable wear and loss to the bodice decoration. The Japanese doll shows scattered wear to garments and hair. The small hard plastic doll is unclothed and displayed on a stand. The cloth dolls retain attractive beadwork and costumes with expected age-related wear. Sold as found.
