c.1878, with fitted naturalistic leafy tray, underside of tray and tureen aptly hallmarked and numbered 2141, UV clean (see condition report), 21x15.5x11in., Opening Bid $6000 Note: An example of this Mintons game tureen is held at the Powerhouse Museum (MAAS) in Australia (Object A6510). According to the museum, surviving examples of this object are very rare. Condition Report: Minor factory skips, rubs, flaws or glaze flakes not withstanding. The boar’s head exhibits a moderate chip (27x23mm) to the right ear tip area, along with 3 small rim area chips including an (8x8mm) just to the front of right ear, (13x4mm) to bottom edge of left ear, and (8x6mm) behind the left eye. The tureen bowl exhibits a small chip (8x7mm) on an upper green oak leaf by the rim, along with 3 minor rim chips / flakes. The tray exhibits a small inner rim chip (18mm), and a minor chip (9mm) beneath the arrow feather, see images.
