A monumental cast stone architectural relief panel executed in the Neoclassical taste, depicting an animated procession of dancing maidens and putti beneath flourishing grapevines in celebration of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and revelry. Rendered in high relief within a graceful half-round lunette form, the composition recalls the celebrated antique friezes and Renaissance interpretations of classical mythology that have inspired architectural ornament for centuries.
