Good lot of five publications almost exclusively related to blacks serving in the U.S. armed forces. Included is: a 60pp. 4to. training history of the black 93rd Infantry Division, just prior to their deployment into combat in the South Pacific, the contents documenting the division's training at Fort Huachaca showing every aspect of their service there including combat school, artillery training, recreation, the white staff officers, and more; an approx. 80pp. 4to, ca. 1940 Army-issue photographic piece on Fort Clark, Tx., this issue dedicated to the all-black 9th U.S. Cavalry which during the war would join the 2nd Cavalry Division in the Mediterranean; an approx. 100pp. 8vo. unit history of the 3rd Army's 238th Quartermaster Salvage Collecting Co., with several dozen portraits of the men serving in the company stateside and near the front in France and Germany; an 18pp. 4to. war-date illustrated program for 'De Paur's Infantry Chorus', a chorus of black soldiers who performed a wide-ranging program of songs stateside and at the front; and a 1942 printing issued from Fort Bragg's Field Artillery Replacement Training Center, approx. 20pp. 4to., two pages bearing photos and information concerning the 16th Brigade, an all-black unit, 'the first colored field artillery training battalion.' Five pieces, very good.

Shipping, handling and insurance charges will be added to all invoices. Shipments are sent via FEDEX, USPS Express, USPS International Priority, and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option. Shipments will only be sent to the registered bidder address, re-routing shipments is not permitted. All shipments require a direct signature, no exceptions. Shipping to certain countries is extremely expensive and will be invoiced according to dimensional weight as required! By law the full value is required by customs for international shipments. Please inquire before bidding! International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
