A pair of sterling silver forks produced by the Whiting Manufacturing Company in the Louis XV pattern, which was first introduced in 1891. The handles feature an ornate Rococo Revival design with scrolled borders and a shell-form terminal. Each fork is marked on the reverse with the Whiting Manufacturing Company pictorial mark of a spread-winged eagle, followed by the word STERLING and a Gothic capital H denoting a heavy weight grade. The handles also bear a retailer stamp for the HENRY BOHM CO of Denver, Colorado. A script monogram, possibly reading JR or LR, is engraved on the front terminal of each handle. Total weight 74g.
