An elegant Art Nouveau silver plate crumb tray and matching brush set, dating to the early twentieth century, executed with graceful flowing lines and richly embossed iris blossoms and foliage. The shaped tray features a scalloped outline with an integrated handle, while the matching curved brush is fitted with light-colored natural bristles and adorned with complementary floral decoration. The repoussé iris motif, with its sinuous stems and organic curves, exemplifies the refined aesthetic of the Art Nouveau movement. Both tray and brush display harmonious sculptural forms, combining functionality with decorative appeal. Originally intended for clearing crumbs from the dining table between courses, such sets became popular accessories in well-appointed European and American households during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Beautifully preserved with a bright reflective surface and crisp detailing, this charming ensemble is equally suited for use or display and would make a sophisticated addition to collections of Art Nouveau decorative arts, silver plate, or antique table appointments.

  • Condition: Overall very good antique condition. The silver-plated surfaces exhibit light surface scratches, minor wear, and areas of gentle polishing consistent with age and use. The embossed decoration remains crisp and well defined. The brush retains its natural bristles, which show light wear but remain full. No significant dents or structural damage observed.
