An archive of fraternal and labor union memorabilia primarily focused on Northern Ohio organizations, dating from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries. The collection includes membership badges for the Ancient Order of United Workmen (A.O.U.W.), Akron Lodge No. 100. These badges feature decorative top bars incised with the letters C.H.P., standing for Chief Honor Past, suspended from which are silk ribbons in blue and red. The circular medals attached to the ribbons are struck in gold-toned and silver-toned white metal, featuring a central shield emblem with the letters A.O.U.W. surmounted by a knight?s helmet. One ribbon includes a metal crossed-gavel pin. Also included is a reversible In Memoriam funeral and meeting ribbon for the National Brotherhood of Operative Potters (N.B. of O.P.), Local Union No. 20 of Steubenville, Ohio. The front is black silk or velvet with silver-stamped printing, a celluloid-covered handshake emblem, and an eagle holding a banner inscribed Justice to All and In Union There Is Strength. The reverse side is blue silk with silver-stamped text for the local union. The lot further contains a two-piece cream silk ribbon commemorating the Palestine Commandery No. 37, Knights Templar, Paris, Illinois, dated August 28th, 1877, and a cream silk ribbon for the 1893 Woman's Relief Corps (W.R.C.) 12th District Convention in Wooster, Ohio.
