A collection of two ornate Japanese Nippon export porcelain vessels, dating to the late Victorian or Art Nouveau period c. 1890-1910. The assembly comprises a large, slightly tapered cylindrical mug and a bulbous ewer with a high, scrolled handle and lobed body. Both pieces exhibit characteristic heavy "moriage" slip-trailed relief decoration and dense enameling in a vibrant palette of forest green, turquoise, yellow, and red. The mug features hand-painted cartouches of purple and pink blossoms on a beige ground, while the ewer displays a central rose bouquet. The intricate scrollwork and beaded textures are typical of high-quality Nippon wares intended for the Western market. The undersides are white and lack visible maker's marks.
