An authentic mid-century industrial hand-operated boat trailer winch mounted to its original welded steel pedestal base, retaining its original dual-drum cable spool, ratcheting gear mechanism, pulley assembly, and hand crank. Constructed entirely of heavy-gauge steel, the winch was engineered for dependable mechanical advantage in launching and retrieving small watercraft, utility trailers, or similar equipment. Its utilitarian design embodies the functional aesthetic of postwar American industrial manufacturing, where durability and serviceability were paramount. The assembly features a substantial geared winding drum, overhead guide pulley, adjustable support arm, original steel crank handles, and surviving cable with forged attachment hardware. Layers of aged white paint, natural oxidation, and honest working wear impart an appealing industrial patina highly sought after by collectors of maritime, agricultural, and factory equipment. Beyond its practical appeal, the piece possesses exceptional sculptural qualities, making it equally suitable as a decorative object in loft interiors, maritime collections, restaurants, breweries, or industrial-inspired design environments. Mounted on its original steel base, it displays beautifully while remaining a compelling example of twentieth-century mechanical engineering. An increasingly scarce survivor of working waterfront and agricultural equipment, offered in untouched, as-found condition.

  • Circa: Circa 1940–1965 Likely American manufacture.
  • Condition: Original unrestored condition with significant age-related surface oxidation, paint loss, and corrosion throughout consistent with decades of use and outdoor storage. Original cable exhibits fraying and should be considered for display purposes unless professionally replaced. The gearing, ratchet wheel, crank handles, pulley, and structural frame appear substantially complete. Mechanical operation has not been fully tested and the piece is offered as found. Displays with an exceptional industrial patina.
