Contemporary ceramic vessel created by New Zealand potter John Parker. The piece is of an ovoid form, characterized by a series of prominent horizontal concentric ridges, often referred to as a beehive or grooved shape. It is finished with a uniform matte white glaze. The vessel tapers to a narrow circular aperture at the top and a small, slightly recessed circular foot at the base. The underside of the foot bears the impressed maker mark JOHN PARKER along with an impressed JPR stamp. Circular silver-tone adhesive label for the Rubin Collection.
