A set of five ceramic dinnerware pieces manufactured by Wedgwood in the Napoleon Ivy pattern. This group consists of a dinner plate, a salad plate, a bread and butter plate, a teacup, and a saucer. Each piece is crafted from cream-colored earthenware, also known as Queen's Ware, and features a continuous border of transfer-printed green ivy leaves with small dark berry clusters. The design was originally commissioned for Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on the island of St. Helena in 1815. The reverse of each piece is marked with a black transfer-printed backstamp reading NAPOLEON IVY, As used by Napoleon at St. Helena 1815, ETRURIA, WEDGWOOD, BARLASTON, MADE IN ENGLAND.
