Luftwaffe Contract Krieghoff 1943 Dated P.08 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Rig Manufactured on contract for the Luftwaffe, this is a scare Heinrich Krieghoff produced Luger pistol. A sporting firm at heart, Krieghoff turned in a quality product with their Luger, impressing the Luftwaffe enough to win additional contracts to produce machine guns and impressing both military inspectors and later collectors with their fine fit and finish. Fixed sights, with the "1943" date on the chamber and the Krieghoff dagger/anchor logo (C-2 die pattern) on the front toggle link. "Eagle/2" proofs are present on multiple components, with an "882" bore diameter measurement on the barrel, "GESICHERT/GELADEN" safe/loaded marks, straw colored small parts, and checkered grips. Included with the pistol are two extra magazines, both extruded "fxo/P.08" blued with alloy bases marked "eagle/2/11533" (note: no "+" mark on either magazine), as well as a black leather flap holster with "eagle/2" markings on the interior and a small "eagle/2" marked takedown tool. Some components are unnumbered. The grips are very good, with some flat spots and light chips. The holster is very good, with some light scuffs and cracking. Mechanically fine.
