Signed by the artist in marker on an invitation to a "Pre-Opening Construction Party" at Club DV8 in San Francisco, showing reproduction of his 1985 untitled ink on paper work featuring a baby and a dog, to Daniel Detorie. Signed at center of reproduced artwork, addressed on verso in unknown hand. 1 page, oblong 12mo; vertical fold through signature (without loss), minor creases at corners, faint scattered soiling.

  • Provenance: On December 4, 1985, the Club DV8 held a celebration in advance of their opening with Keith Haring as the guest of honor. On June 5 of the following year, DV8 unveiled their "Keith Haring Room," whose walls were adorned with six magnificent murals produced by Haring for the space. When club DV8 closed its doors in 1997, the murals were removed, five of which have been exhibited in New York and elsewhere.
