JOHN QUINCY ADAMS
(1767 - 1848) Sixth President of the United States, Secretary of State under Monroe, principally formulated the Monroe Doctrine. Partly-printed D.S. as President, 1p. oblong folio, Washington, Dec. 15, 1826, a grant of land in ‘…the East half of the North West quarter of section thirty two, in Township Seventeen…Crawfordsville, Indiana…'. Boldly signed at bottom and countersigned by GEORGE GRAHAM (1770-1830) Virginia politician, acting Secretary of War under James Monroe, War of 1812 veteran. Lacking blind-embossed paper seal, with soiling to edges, toned folds, overall good condition.
