With a plaque reading "John Lennon Souvenirs of Hamburg and is part of a private collection which has been on exhibit at "The Beatles Story Liverpool"? from 2010 to May 2015. Seinem Geburtstag 9.Okt 1960 Von Stu' (translation For Emperor John on your birthday 9 Oct 1960 from Stu.) Sutcliffe was Lennon's closest friend and confidant .The reverse side of the flask and stuck non-permanently on the leather is another inscription reading "items belonging to John Lennon from the Hamburg days, given to his friend Geoff Mohammed who sold them to me in Manchester. Geoff Mohammed was Sutcliffe and Lennon's friend from their Art school days at The Liverpool Institute. Lennon is quoted in Anthology saying "I used to have a friend called Geoff Mohammed, God rest his soul, who died. He was a half-Indian Arab and he would be like a bodyguard for me. So whenever I'd get into some controversy he would ease me out of it " Ray Coleman in his biography of John wrote "Lennon didn't care. He had his gang, camp followers like the laconically funny Geoff Mohammed, who was a perfect foil for John's pungent humour." and fellow art student and Sutcliffe's ex-girlfriend Margaret Duxbury remembered how John would hang about in the art college corridors, leaning on a wall or radiator with his friend Geoff Mohammed"
