Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Western New Guinea, ca. 1800 - 1933 CE. A carved wooden ancestral figural post, featuring an oversized head with angular facial planes, openwork arms, and a weathered surface from age and use. The sides of the post are drilled with holes, likely from mounting. Size: 4.75" W x 23" H (12.1 cm x 58.4 cm); 25" H (63.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Rogers, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Bosio collection, Miami, Florida, USA, 1960-2000
