1832 Dated Harpers Ferry Model 1819 Hall Breech Loading Percussion Conversion Rifle with Bayonet The Model 1819 Hall rifle was the first breech loading weapon adopted as a regulation weapon and the first firearm successfully produced with completely interchangeable parts. They were primarily manufactured at Harpers Ferry in three runs up to 1840. This example was period converted to percussion. Many Model 1819s remained in southern arsenals at the outbreak of the Civil War and were converted to percussion for use by the Confederate Army. This example has standard sights and second production period markings including the year "1832." A socket bayonet is included.
