U.S. Harpers Ferry Model 1819 Hall Breech Loading Flintlock Rifle The Model 1819 Hall was the first breech loading military arm widely used and the first firearm with completely interchangeable parts. They were used primarily in conflicts with Native Americans and the Mexican-American War, but some also saw use in the Civil War. This example has the standard markings and features and is dated "1838." The excellent wood has a few minor chips and scattered scrapes. Mechanically excellent. Undoubtedly, this Hall rifle never was issued!
