Scarce Heckler & Koch G3SG/1 Sharpshooter's Rifle with Scope, Class III/ NFA Fully Transferrable Machine Gun Manufactured in 1984 and imported via HK Inc of Chantilly, Virginia, the G3SG/1 is a production variant of the German G3 battle rifle intended for issue to sharpshooters. Starting life as G3's hand-selected off the assembly lines, the SG/1 variant is further accurized, including a specialized cheekpiece, buffer assembly, and a special double set trigger assembly. Automatic fire capability is retained, allowing the sharpshooter to perform ranged suppression fire and also to fight and maneuver as a more conventional infantryman if needed. Post front and 4-position drum rear sights, a birdcage flash hider on the threaded muzzle, a folding bipod on the end of the forearm, and the model, caliber, importer and date markings on the magazine well. The trigger group is "S/E/F" marked with a functional trigger pack, a red painted adjustment screw immediately behind the trigger and the set button inside the guard. Note that the trigger group is fitted with a proper military-pattern front hinge pin, not the cosmetic two-piece "pin" seen on converted HK91/93 rifles. The stock is fitted with a raised cheekpiece. Attached to the claw mounts is a Schmidt & Bender 1 1/2-6x scope, and included with the lot is a hard case, rubber scope eyepiece, sling and cleaning tools Manufacturer: Heckler & Koch Model: G3SG1 BBL: 18 inch round Stock: plastic Gauge: 308 Finish: black Grips: Serial Number: 17T767 Class: Class III Condition: Excellent, with 90% of the original black finish, showing some light scuffing on the receiver from the scope and mild handling marks overall.
