A mixed lot of four South Asian works. A small buff sandstone head, likely Gupta period, the hair arranged in tight curls beneath a diadem or turban band, remnants of an incised inscription across the crown; [H. __ in.]. Together with a grey schist relief fragment carved in high relief with the head and shoulders of a bearded, mustached figure wearing a beaded torque, the reverse retaining an old collection label inscribed "Taxila / Gandhara / 2nd-3rd A.D."

The lot further includes two Indian silver-mounted miniature portrait pendants, each painted and glazed within a plain silver bezel with suspension loop: the first depicting a mounted nobleman attended by a retainer against an orange ground; the second depicting two figures seated in a howdah atop a caparisoned elephant against a green ground
