Outstanding Cased Engraved Grulla Model 215F Two Barrel Set Hammerless Side by Side Shotgun This two barrel set consists of 27 and 25 inch barrels. Both sets are 12 gauge, finished blue and serial numbered to the gun. The 25 inch barrels have a single white bead sight on the solid matte concave rib, with 3 inch chambers with ejectors, improved cylinder/improved modified chokes, and jeweled flats and lugs. The top of the right barrel near the breech is marked "UNION ARMERA S.L. EIBAR (MADE IN SPAIN)," and "MONTE V. CLOYD" is on the left side. The 27 inch set has a single steel bead sight on the matte concave solid rib, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, extra full/improved modified chokes, and with the same jeweled features and markings as the other set. The frame is coin finished and features custom double Holland & Holland style side locks. The frame and side locks are nicely engraved with Purdey style floral scroll and rose bouquet engraving. The trigger guard and break lever are finished blue and feature floral scroll engraving. The lower tang is engraved "Mo 215 F". Jeweled water table, tang mounted automatic safety, double triggers and mounted with a varnished nicely figured checkered English walnut forearm (shared by both barrel sets and numbered to the gun) with engraved blue hardware and round knob pistol grip stock with tear drop flats and Pachmayr vented recoil pad. Complete in a custom leather bound hard takedown case with brass corner protectors, double leather straps and leather handle and green felt lining. In the case are two extra firing pins and several varied sized hammer springs. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Both sets of barrels retain 98% plus original blue finish with wear from the forearm on the undersides. The remaining blue and coin finished parts retain 99% plus original finish. The wood is also excellent with some lightening of the wood under the varnish on the left wrist and overall a few minor dings and handling marks, with sharp checkering. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good plus with a few minor scrapes and stains on the exterior.
