North America, United States, Denver and Philadelphia, ca. 1964 CE. A group of twenty-five Kennedy Half Dollars, the first-year issue of the series struck in 90% silver, with the classic obverse portrait of President John F. Kennedy and reverse Presidential Seal, typical circulation patina and light handling marks consistent with age. Mintmarks for 1964 are located below the eagle's claw on the left side; a "D" indicates Denver, no mark indicates Philadelphia. Included: 1964 no mintmark (sixteen) and 1964-D (nine). Size (all the same): 1.2" Diameter (3 cm); silver quality: 90%; total weight: 311.6 grams
