Group of Three Oaxacan Alebrijes (Mexican Folk Art Wood Carvings)

A vibrant group of three hand-carved and painted alebrijes, the fantastical folk sculptures native to Oaxaca, Mexico, each fashioned from copal wood and decorated in the intricate, dotted, and radiating patterns characteristic of the tradition. The group comprises a two-headed blue dragon-like creature covered in celestial-motif spotting, an orange-and-white winged creature with fern-patterned wings and a long curved horn, and a spiky blue-and-white "porcupine" or "armadillo" form with a pale blue snout. Signed and inscribed to the underside "Mao Perez, Oaxaca," (Mauricio Perez?) and separately "Candido Perez V., Tilcajete, Oaxaca.
