GEOFFREY KEYES (1888-1967) Highly decorated Lieutenant General who commanded the II Corps during World War II. Keyes was George Patton's invaluable chief of staff, leading Patton's I Corps in Morocco, and accepting the surrender of Palermo. Lot of five intimate items from Keyes' service during World War II. Included is: Ketes' black-beaded rosary with crucifix, 18 in. long and incorporating a small medal featuring an image of the Virgin Mary, with two British 'lucky' coins, dated 1936 and 1944, all kept by Keyes with his rosary all and contained within a World War II era film cannister; also included is a Keyes' pinback name badge marked as: 'KEYES'; and a Keyes' calling card as major general; SOLD WITH: two 4 in. x 5 in. photographs of Keyes on the Italian front, one marked 'CONFIDENTIAL' and showing him at 5th Army HQ at Caserta, the second marked 'SECRET' which shows him holding maps in the company of generals Mark Clark and John Coulter; and a 1893-94 cabinet card photograph of Keyes as a child at Fort Ringgold, Texas. All very good. Personal items originating directly from Keyes' estate.

Shipping, handling and insurance charges will be added to all invoices. Shipments are sent via FEDEX, USPS Express, USPS International Priority, and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option. Shipments will only be sent to the registered bidder address, re-routing shipments is not permitted. All shipments require a direct signature, no exceptions. Shipping to certain countries is extremely expensive and will be invoiced according to dimensional weight as required! By law the full value is required by customs for international shipments. Please inquire before bidding! International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
