Biography: He took his first lessons under the tutelage of Professor Melvin Rivera in Arecibo. In 1978, he entered the studio of Puerto Rican artist Roland Borges Soto. Motivated by the desire to complete his art studies, in 1980 he moved to San Juan to enroll in the School of Plastic Arts of the Puerto Rican Institute of Culture. Towards the end of 1982, he became an art teacher at the Arecibo Academy and Art Center. In 1984, he began studies at the Interamerican University of Arecibo, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 1988. He has exhibited individually at: Interamerican University, Arecibo, P.R., 1982; Puerto Rican Athenaeum Competition, 1985; Second Competition, receipt (First Prize), 1986; "Tribute to Flaubert," Don Juan Gallery, Arecibo, P.R., 1987; Interamerican University, Arecibo, P.R., 1987; "Anatomical Landscapes", Don Juan Gallery, Arecibo, P.R., 1987; Corinne Timsit International Galleries, San Juan, P.R., 1991, 1992, "The Exodus of And?jar and His Other Stories".
