5 letters in the hand of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. One on a postcard in his hand and with his signature and the rest in his hand, but without his signature. The signed postcard relates to the subject of following a majority regarding eating together. Signed by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky in the blank space for the sender's name. The rest of the letters discuss the idea that "grandchildren are like children" regarding the laws of respecting one's grandfather like his father. In one of the responsa, Rabbi Kanievsky writes: "In regards to "kibud av," a grandson is not obligated as it says in Sota 49a." In another letter he writes: "In Yevamos 62b it proves that the children of daughters are also like children, and the law of respecting a father's father is only because of the father, therefore it's preceded by the obligation towards his father." He also writes: "kol includes grandchildren." He writes in another letter: "I don't know what is difficult for you, when you're here come in."Along with the detailed questions sent by the writer from Jerusalem and the envelopes in which the letters were sent.Overall very fine condition.
