Excellent Nick Kusmit Engraved Winchester Model 21 Side by Side Double Barrel Shotgun in 410 Gauge Produced in limited quantities by the Winchester Custom Shop, this Model 21 Shotgun was built by shop manager Bill Smith and embellished by factory engraver Nick Kusmit. The barrels are fitted with a pair of white bead sights on the solid rib, with a 1 1/4 inch wedge of scroll engraving on each side of the muzzle, 1 1/2 inches of scrollwork at the breech, skeet chokes, 3 inch chambers and ejectors. More scroll engraving is present on the frame, with floral designs at the hinge, single trigger with gold washed selector button and a manual safety. Fine machine-turned jeweling is present on the barrel flats and water table, with Winchester Model 21 and "WP" markings on both, and the latter bearing the patent markings and a "DE" stamp. The stock is extra fancy checkered AAA American walnut, with an ebony wedge insert in the beavertail forearm, engraved forearm hardware, pistol grip with Winchester grip cap and a leather covered solid recoil pad. Measurements - Choke: skeet/skeet, Chamber Length: 3 inches, Length of Pull: 14 inches, Drop at Comb: 1 1/4 inches, Drop at Heel: 1 3/4 inches, Cast: neutral, Toe: out 1/2 inch, Overall Weight: 7 pounds 13.8 ounces. Formerly of the Peter & Patty Murray Collection Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 21 BBL: 28 inch solid rib Stock: Gauge: 410 Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 9855 Class: Modern Long Gun Condition: Near new, with only a few minor handling marks overall. The engraving is sharply executed. Stock is excellent, with a few light flakes of the varnish, crisp checkering, and attractively feathered grain. Mechanically excellent. A chance to own a top-rate example of 20th century Winchester craftsmanship.
