Attractive Engraved Winchester Model 21 Skeet Double Barrel Box Lock Shotgun Manufactured post-World War II and subsequently master engraved (possibly by A. Griebel). White front and brass bead midsights, with the Winchester markings on the left barrel, light engraving at the breech, and standard proofmarkings on the underside. The model markings and address are present on the water table, with fine scroll and floral engraving on much of the frame, "SKEET" marked on the underside, manual safety and a single trigger with a selector button. Fine game panel scenes are present on the frame as well, with a pointer next to a tree stump in a woodland scene on the underside, a grouse flying through woodlands on the right side, and a duck gliding in for a landing on the left. Fitted with a checkered pistol grip stock, with scroll engraving on the beavertail forearm hardware, black plastic Winchester grip cap, and a leather covered solid recoil pad. Measurements: weight - 7 pounds 10.6 ounces, chokes - marked WS-1/WS-2, chambers - 2 3/4 inches, drop at comb - 1 1/2 inches, drop at heel - 2 1/4 inches, length of pull - 14 1/4 inches to end of pad, 13 1/4 to end of wood. The wood is very good, with light scattered dents, a few thin mended cracks on the forearm and near the upper tang, mild varnish loss on the edges, some wear on the leather, and fine grain and checkering.
