Factory Engraved Parker Brothers CHE Grade Double Barrel Trap Shotgun with Extra Barrel Set Manufactured in 1930. Dual bead sights on the matte vent rib barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, and improved modified/full chokes. The top of the rib is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN CT. U.S.A. ACME STEEL". Standard "C" grade engraving with generous amounts of tight leafy scroll and dog and bird game scenes on the sides and bottom of the receiver. Fitted with a Miller single selective trigger and tang mounted manual thumb safety. Mounted on a finely checkered, nicely figured beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Parker Brothers grip cap, "C" inscribed silver initial oval, and a leather wrapped rubber recoil pad. The shotgun includes a second 28 inch vent rib 12 gauge barrel set with 3 inch chambers, ejectors and cylinder/improved cylinder chokes. The second barrel set has been renumbered to match the gun. The barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .734/.735 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .038/.037 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. The measurements for the extra barrel set are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .735/.735 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .042/.042 inch. The receiver has a mostly silver gray patina with faint traces of original case colors in the more protected areas, sharp engraving, and some mild freckling. The revarnished wood is very fine with crisp freshened checkering, small pressure dents, and wear on the leather covered pad. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrel set is very fine with some light forearm wear and handling marks.
