Attractive Engraved Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun Manufactured circa 1953 and subsequently finely custom engraved and gold inlaid with light floral scroll designs on the receiver, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware. There is a small wedge of the same design on the muzzle and breech end sides of the barrels, as well as a gold inlaid wire band around each end. The receiver and forearm knuckle have gold inlaid wire bordering. Single bead sight on the solid concave matte rib. The left rear barrel is marked with the model, maker, gauge and chamber size. The matching serial number is marked on the upper tang, left barrel flat, and on the inside forearm hardware and wood. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked modified/full with ejectors. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE", and mounted with a very nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a solid Decelerator recoil pad. Bore diameter is .730/.731, wall thickness .040/.040, weight 7.55 pounds, drop at the heel is 2 3/4 inches, drop at the comb is 1 1/2 inches and the length of pull is 14 5/8 inches. The very fine wood shows a few very small minor dents and the checkering is very crisp. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
