Engraved and Silver Plated National Arms First Model Derringer This derringer is one of just 6,000 First Models manufactured between 1865 and 1870 and features punch dot and scroll engraving patterns along with arrows and bursts designs. The top of the barrel has the one-line address. The underside of the barrel has the 1863 patent date. This same model was later produced by Colt when the company bought out National Arms. Manufacturer: National Arms Co Model: #1 Derringer BBL: 2 1/2 inch flat top Stock: Gauge: 41 RF Finish: silver Grips: metal Serial Number: 4724 Class: Antique Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 95% plus of the original silver plating with some slight flaking and some patches of faint pitting. The engraving remains crisp, but the barrel markings are partially faded. The action remains excellent.
