[EARLY FILM] Crittenden Marriott ( 1867-1932 ) was a novelist , screenwriter and filmmaker US. Born in 1867 in Maryland , in Baltimore, the novelist Crittenden Marriott - author of The Isle of Lost Ships - ten years he worked in the cinema, where some of his stories were adapted for the screen even in the twenties. In 1915, he had tried his hand at directing, by signing the short film A Night in Kentucky produced by ' Essanay Studios , a production house Chicago at the Marriott who had begun his brief film career.
