DWM Model 1902 Luger Semi-Automatic Carbine Rig Complete with Matching Shoulder Stock, Accessories and Custom Case This is a late production DWM Model 1902 Luger carbine rig that includes a matching shoulder stock, spare magazines, and accessories all stored in a modern reproduction DWM style case. This fine Luger is complete with its original matching DWM factory walnut shoulder stock. This forend on these models attaches to a hanger mounted on the front end of the frame, which houses a small accelerator that helps to cycle the longer/heavier 11 3/4 inch barrel. These early Lugers all have the long old style frame, flat mainspring, grip safety, dished toggles with toggle lock on the right side, and the recessed/flat breech bolt with the small spring extractor. They have a blank chamber area and the DWM markings on the front toggle. The serial number (24582) is stamped on the forend hanger and underside of the barrel, and the last two digits of the serial number (82) marked on the various small parts to include the forend. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered walnut grips. As noted this late production carbine has a matching walnut shoulder stock and forend. Both are numbered "582". This pistol is complete with three (one for the pistol and two spares) tin-plated magazines (all three have unnumbered wooden bases) and a rare original box of 7.65 m/m hollow-point (hohlspitzengeschosse) cartridges. It is also complete with a reproduction leather shoulder strap, takedown tool, carbine length brass cleaning rod with the oiler on the end and a small pin-punch, all stored in a very nice high end reproduction Luger carbine case with blue felt lining. These carbines have always been a highly sought after Luger as they were DWM's effort to produce a lightweight rifle substitute to compete with the various stocked pistols being produced throughout Europe at this time.
