DWM/Mauser 1933 Nazi Sneak Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol This is a unusual example of a late DWM or early Mauser (1933 era) Luger pistol chambered in 9 mm Parabellum. This example is similar to the early commercial Mauser Lugers that used left over DWM parts and uses all DWM parts. It has an undated chamber area, and the standard DWM markings are on the front toggle. The left side of the barrel extension and breechblock both have a single "crown/N" commercial proof. The right side of the barrel extension has an early Mauser proof, which is also stamped on the left rear side of the barrel, and directly ahead of that barrel proof, it is faintly stamped with a "SU/25" rework proof indicating it has a replacement barrel. The left rear frame area and side of the extractor are correctly stamped with "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. It is numbered in the military fashion with the front of the frame and underside of the barrel stamped with serial number "851" and with the last two digits "51" stamped on the various smaller parts. It has straw colored small parts, is fitted with checkered walnut grips, and comes with a polished steel magazine with an unmarked wooden base. Manufacturer: DWM Model: 1933 BBL: 4 inch round Stock: Gauge: 9 mm Luger Auto Finish: blue Grips: walnut Serial Number: 851u Class: Curio & Relic Handgun Condition: Very fine with 95% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning and browning on the grip straps and sides of the frame. The straw colored smaller parts have been professionally restored. The grips are also in very fine condition with nice, distinct checkering on the sides showing some minor light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
