DINA TORRANS (Canadian, 1967-) "Letters to Home Series - 3" 1998 - Collograph, found objects and mixed media on Winsor & Newton heavy rag paper paper. Signed, titled and dated lower right. Unframed. 30 x 22 inches. Excellent condition, never framed or displayed. This piece includes a 1998 appraisal from Piero Catalfo PC Consulting (Toronto) with a fair market value indicated of $900, and a 1998 appraisal from Fleisher Fine Arts Inc (Toronto) indicating a value of $850.

  • Notes: Dina Torrans was born in 1967. She graduated from The Art Centre, Central Technical School (Toronto) in 1989, then conducted specialized study at the Ontario College of Art, before studying sculpture in Italy with Steven Shaheen, Alasdair Thomson and Studio Corsanini. Torrans has taught sculpture and printmaking at the Toronto Board of Education and at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and her work has been widely exhibited, including Canadian Sculpture Centre (Toronto), Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), Elora Centre for the Arts, and Impressions Gallery (Toronto). Her work can be found in several permanent collections, incliding Simon Fraser University (Burnaby) and The Education Centre (Toronto).

Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting can provide purchasers with several options for packing and shipping throughout Canada, the US and internationally. All packing and shipping is done at the expense of the purchaser. If you are the successful bidder on one or more lots, you will receive an email directly from the auction house within 48 hours. Please then contact us to discuss your packing, shipping and pick-up preferences (and we can remove artworks from framing in order to ship without frame and glass). All artworks are located in Regina, Saskatchewan and are available for pick-up. Also, we are currently offering free delivery in Regina on invoices over $200, and occasional delivery trips are made to Saskatoon to hand-deliver to Saskatoon home addresses for a small fee when there is sufficient demand. We can pack and ship throughout Canada and internationally, or can deliver your artworks to a recognized international shipper for them to pack and ship via their direct communications with you. For US buyers, note that all Canadian and US artworks have been proceeding as tariff exempt under the terms of the Canada-US-Mexico Free Trade Agreement, but the situation can change. Artworks with a country of origin other than Canada, US or Mexico are more likely to have a tariff fee added by US Customs.
