Desirable DWM Model 1902 Luger Carbine with Matching Shoulder Stock This is a late production DWM Model 1902 Luger carbine complete with the original matching walnut shoulder stock. These Lugers have the desirable longer 11 3/4 inch barrel with DWM factory installed frame hanger that retains the small walnut forend, which houses a small spring accelerator that helps cycle the longer carbine length barrel. These early Lugers have the various early rare features such as: the long old style frame, flat mainspring, grip safety, dished toggles with toggle locks, and the recessed/flat breech bolt with the small spring extractor. The top of the chamber is blank, and the front toggle has the "Deutsche Waffen und Munitions Fabriken" DWM logo. The full serial number (24780) is stamped on the underside of the frame hanger, and the last two digits of the serial number (80) are stamped on the various other smaller parts. The forend is also numbered inside the cutout for the frame extension with "780". The grips are not numbered, which is correct for these early pistols. As noted, this example has the original walnut shoulder stock and attaching iron that is numbered to the pistol. The pistol is complete with a single nickel plated magazine with an original unnumbered walnut base. The stock is in very good condition overall showing a slightly lighter shade of walnut with minor handling marks on the sides.
