Denver Colorado Shipped First Generation 1904 Production Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter The included Colt letter indicates that this revolver was shipped on June 13, 1904, to George Tritch Hardware in Denver, Colorado. It also confirms the caliber, barrel length, and blue finish. This revolver features fixed blade front and frame groove rear sights, a casehardened frame and polished hammer with the remaining components blued, and is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top on each side. The top of the barrel has the one-line Hartford address, and the left side has the caliber designation. The left side of the frame is marked with the two-line/three-date patent information followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked ahead of the trigger guard on the frame, on the trigger guard, and on the butt. The loading gate has the assembly number "3009". There is a small factory re-work mark on the left side front of the trigger guard above the Colt VP proof indicating the revolver was sent back in the 1920s. The rear grip strap is marked "370" on each side and the cylinder face is marked with the same.
