This example was manufactured in 1863 and has standard markings and features including matching serial numbers. Manufacturer: Colt Model: 1861 BBL: 7 1/2 inch round Stock: Gauge: 36 percussion Finish: blue/casehardened/silver Grips: walnut Serial Number: 20101 Class: Antique Condition: Very good plus with 30% original blue finish on the barrel, 20% original case colors (particularly bright on parts of the loading lever arm), and strong original silver plating under the grip. The balance of the iron is mostly gray and has patches of light pitting. The brass is mostly bright with some patination. The grip is fine with patches of varnish, light scratches, and mild edge wear. The mainspring is a weak replacement. Otherwise mechanically fine.
