Burton at the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Co. in New Jersey. It has the standard markings and features and is dated "1864" on the lock and "1863" on the barrel. Manufacturer: Trenton Model: 1861 BBL: 40 inch round Stock: walnut Gauge: 58 percussion Finish: bright Grips: Serial Number: NSN Class: Antique Condition: Fine overall with light gray patina, minor spotting and pitting, scattered minor marks and scratches, 20% of the original blue on the rear sight, distinct markings, and some small dents and mild scrapes in the otherwise very fine wood. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine, has been cleaned, and is moderately pitted (most heavily towards the socket).
