Civil War Era Colt Model 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver The Model 1861 Navy is one of the rarer Colt percussion models and was limited to 38,843 manufactured in 1861-1873 compared to 200,500 Model 1860 Army revolvers manufactured in 1860-1873. Manufactured in 1865 with standard markings and features including matching serial numbers stamped throughout and hand-marked in the back strap inlet of the grip. Manufacturer: Colt Model: 1861 Navy BBL: 7 1/2 inch round Stock: Gauge: 36 percussion Finish: blue/casehardened/silver Grips: walnut Serial Number: 27961 Class: Antique Condition: Very good plus with patches of bright original blue finish in the protected areas of the barrel, traces of original case colors and silver plating, dark brown patina and some light pitting on the iron, attractive goldenrod patina on the brass, and minor marks and edge wear. The grip is fine and has strong original varnish, mild edge wear, some dents, and general scrapes. Mechanically excellent.
