Scarce Korean War Fully Automatic Class III/NFA C&R Registered Chinese Type 50 Submachine Gun with Magazines and Accessories This is a very nice example of a Korean War era, Chinese manufactured Type 50 submachine gun. These were probably the most emblematic WWII submachine gun used and manufactured in the millions by the Russians and then used by the Chinese after WWII, throughout the Korean War and well into the late 1950s. They fired from an open bolt, using the standard 7.62 X 25mm pistol cartridge with an 900 rds/min cyclic rate of fire. The top of the receiver is stamped with several "Chinese characters" over serial number "626/1952". They used a stamped and formed sheet-metal receiver/barrel jacket with a stamped lower receiver group. The only machined components were really the bolt and barrel and maybe a couple internal parts. It has a two-position flip rear sight with a post front sight. It has a blue/black type metal finish with a Chinese hardwood stock. The lower receiver group, buttstock and bolt are all numbered "1954". It is complete with two, 50 round, drum magazines, two thirty round stick magazines with a compliment of spare parts that include a stripped bolt, barrel, internal springs, and magazine loader and magazine adapter.
